Menu Plan Monday: The Newbie Version

I’m not much of a menu plan person but in an effort to streamline three kids, in two different schools, and juggling a part time job I thought I’d try my hand at something new.

Dinner must be quick and easy for me since the kids come home from school starving.  (My daughter seriously eats lunch at 10:45 in her preschool class.)  So, I’ve been tweaking our evening routine to ensure dinner, homework and bath time are on a tight schedule. 

Here’s what’s on the menu:

Monday – Homemade pizza with fresh garden veggies

Tuesday – Pork, baked beans and smashed potatoes

Wednesday – Chicken, broccoli and rice

Thursday – Baked Spaghetti and garlic toast

Friday – Breakfast Tradition (Choice of pancakes and sausage or cereal)

Walgreens.com Official Corporate Coupon Policy

I have wonderful news for any Walgreens shoppers who have had problems using coupons in the past.

The official Walgreens Corporate Coupon Policy is now available online and covers many of the issues that most of us have faced in the past. 

These are just a few of my favorite items to see addressed but be sure to checkout their site for a complete list of the guidelines.

• Sale items: Walgreens will accept manufacturer coupons for an item that is on sale.
• Coupon value higher than sale price:  In the event that any item's selling price is less than the value of the coupon, Walgreens will only accept the coupon in exchange for the selling price of the item. 
• Using a BOGO coupon with a BOGO sale:  Up to two coupons can be used against the items being purchased, as long as the net price does not go below zero for the items being purchased.
• Accepting printable coupons: Walgreens accepts valid internet/print at home coupons.

I suggest that you print this policy directly from their website to carry in your coupon binder.

There are 3 inserts scheduled for this Sunday. (1) SmartSource, (1) Redplum and (1) P&G. It’s a good idea to check for the inserts inside the paper while you’re at the store to make sure they’re all there. Or, you can checkout Discounted Newspapers for a subscription. (You normally get the best coupons when you have a subscription!).

Walgreens: September 2010 Coupon Booklet

The September Coupon Booklet should start showing up in stores soon, keep an eye out for it.  You should find it near the entrance on the same rack with the weekly ad.
